Summary:

Don’t miss this spectacular new series that will steal your heart and haunt your dreams, Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen…

One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.

Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.

Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…

My Thoughts:

HI everyone an welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Today I’m covering one of my most favourite books. And I mean it. I’ve read Shadow Falls series 4 maybe even more times, and every time I forget to write a review, but that because I finally got the sequel series to the one: Shadow Falls: After Dark, I thought why not to re-read the previous books, that will give me a chance to refresh what exactly happen and who stayed with whom.

It’s not like I forgot how the series ended, no, I just ended up forgetting some minor things like what happened in between of Kylie knowing what she was… I’m making absolutely no sense. Sorry about that. One thing that actually made me shocked was that apparently the book was written in 3rd person. I have always thought that it was from Kylie’s POV. One thing that I love about C.C. hunter’s writing is that even if you remember what is going  to happen, the book sucks you in so much that you don’t want to put it down. The supernatural humor, the actipn, the love, which is always in the air, makes this book irresistible. I enjoyed it when I was 16, reading if for the first time and I still enjoy it after numerous times of reading when I’m 20.

At the time when I first read it, it was a normal cliché paranormal book. The girl is thrown somewhere and told that she is not human. However, the world that the author built is amazing and the whole: “Actually we have no idea what you are”. First made me crack up, but then I really liked how Kylie is in denial. Will she acknowledge her not being human/ well, that’s up to you t find out. Another thing that I really do not often enjoy is a love triangle, however, here it’s just perfect. It’ shows from the very first appearance of Lucas. What’s going to happen? Who will Kylie get to stay with? You’ll know when you get your own copy. For now I’m shutting up, as the one guy that I perfectly adore just got up and left. But he’s coming back, hopefully… probably…

You still doubt whether to read this awesome series? Okay! Imagine thus: you just broke up with your boyfriend. Your grandma died and your parents are getting a divorce, and it’s absolutely ugly. You have a ghost stalking u and because of a mishap on a party you’re being sent to a camp for troubled teens. Where’s the supernatural coming in? The camp is actually for supernaturals and you are told that you are one too, but they’re not sure what kind of. oh, and don’t forget that you’ll be rooming with a witch and a vampire, who just wan to tear each other apart. Oh forgot, add to the chaos that you are attracted to two guys. Now you get what Kylie got herself into.

There are ,any characters except Kylie that you will enjoy a lot. And I ado hope you’ll start reading this series as soon as possible. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll be shoed when unraveling some of the secrets. F you have already read this book, don’t be shy, and share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! I’ll be reviewing other books soon too! Happy reading!

XOXO

Katie
