Recap

The chapter starts with Sasa’s thoughts. She thinks that kisses and closeness, she’s not ready, but …

She’s trembling and Maki stops, he apologizes and tells her that for him kisses and sex is easy, but he’s not going to make Sasa do anything she’s not comfortable with. Sasa’s face goes blank so when Maki asks what’s wrong, she tells him that before he was harassing her on every corner, but now that he says it, it’s strange. Maki just tells her that it’s her fault, because with her everything is serious. They fall asleep holding hands. Next morning, they walk hand in hand and Sasa says that she knew she would get back only in the morning. She sees parents and her mom runs, hugging her telling that she was worries. Her dad asks Maki to explain this situation. He apologizes and asks permission to date Sasa. She blushes but her dad asks furiously what Maki did to Sasa. She tries to cover, but her dad just says that he can’t see Maki’s seriousness, as if he was he would make Sasa call home. Maki walks away, but Sasa tries to stop him and he just says that he should go, she’s too protected by her family. Sasa is in despair thinking about how lonely and hurt Maki could be.

Next morning, after school Sasa asks Maki if they should go together, he agrees, she tries to explain the events of yesterday, but then when looks at Maki she’s wondering why he’s not looking or talking to her or coming closer. She then holds his hand. Maki is startled and breaks the hold, then he just walks away telling her to be careful on tomorrow’s school trip. Sasa is still worried about Maki and doesn’t have fun on her trip Okinawa. She’s sad as Maki hasn’t answered her text. She is wondering if it’s a quarrel or misunderstanding. She just wants to show Maki Okinawa and she wants to share this moment with him. She’s close to tears and walks away to call. She calls Maki and half-crying telling him that he’s an idiot and he should fly here right now. He just asks where she is, not understanding Sasa answers that she’s on the beach next to the airport, when she turns around Maki is right there saying that he caught her.

[Recap] Love, Kiss, Body Chapter 6

Recap

I’m finally recapping my favourite author’s work. You can always read the review if you want to on my blog. If you remember in the last chapter Sasa and Maki finally admitted their feelings and are now dating. The chapter starts with girls flocking Maki but he ignores them and tells Sasa to follow him. Sasa asks him if its okay to go to his place as she wants to see Noah and Rezan. He refuses, saying that it’s their date and they shouldn’t be spending it at home. Sasa is sitting at class watching Maki play football, when he staggers and falls. Next we see a total hottie Maki sitting on his couch and telling Sasa that he is fine. But Sasa is still fussing over him, she tries to call his dad but he tells her that he won’t even answer the phone as he’s busy at work. Maki tells Sasa that she should better go, but she just tells him that she won’t go as she’s his girlfriend and it’s the girlfriend’s duty ti be with him when he’s lonely. Maki just smiles.

While Maki rests, Sasa tries to cook something. She looks at Maki’s sleeping face and also falls asleep. The ringing of the phone wakes her up, it’s her dad, she tries to explain that she was acting as a nurse to her ill friend. Maki also wakes up and tells her that his temperature has gone down and she should go back and not worry. Her parents She agrees, but still worries about Maki’s health. Answering Maki’s question she just tells him that she was really happy for spending this much time with him alone. She walks away but is lost in thoughts how she already misses Maki. She hears her parents worrying about her. She puts her hand on the door. At that time Maki is not feeling well and tells Rezan that everything is fine and he can do everything himself like always. He falls asleep but wakes up because Sasa is calling him. He sees her asking if he’s okay. He asks her what is she doing there. She explains that she was already at the door but returned because she wanted to be with him a bit more. He hugs her and says that he too and then confesses hat before he was okay alone, but now if he’s not with her he’s not fine. Sasa starts making fun of him saying that he’s like an overgrown kid. Maki gets pissed and drags her on his bed, saying that if she’s so cocky she might get her punishment. Sasa is startled but Maki starts tickling her and when she looks up to him they’re in an awkward situation.

They quickly stop and then Maki asks Sasa if she knows why he doesn’t bring her her to his place. He then answers his own question: When they stay alone he wants to touch her and even now he’s trying to calm himself not to jump her. Sasa blushes as she understands that touch and kisses follow each other and maybe she won’t be going home today.

My Thoughts

Review covers 1 chapter

Hello everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Yep, I’m again covering Chiba Kozue’s work. This time it’s a sweet one shot, which makes your heart flutter like crazy. I’ve read this story more time then I’ve read my high school algebra textbook. And that’s quite a lot, if I count that I had that particular one for more than 5 years and I read it at least 5 days a week. Okay, I’m straying off the topic.

Every time I read this work I fall in love, get my heart broken and fall in love once again. There are 48 or so pages, but they hold so much emotion, that you find yourself first happy, then extremely sad and then again happy that everything worked out. Okay, that was for me, I don’t think it might be the same for you, but I hope it is. Let me summarize it a bit. By some circumstances Beniko (15) ends up eating lunch with her teacher – Nomoto Yukia (25). And well, during their interactions she falls in love with him, but hey, when she comes to his flat to make him some food to cure his cold, he uses that moments to push her down to show that he can’t be trusted. Don’t worry, nothing happened, another teacher came in. Bummer! And then our teacher actually confesses in the principal’s office.

But that’s not all, he takes up and leaves for 5 years, to afterwards come back and claim what was his. This moment is breathtaking. My heart stopped beating for a minute or so. And I mean it, every time I read it, my heart would stop and a smile would appear on my face.

This might sound a bit creepy, but I do like reading mangas where there is a student-teacher relationship, especially if the teacher is a guy. The whole it’s forbidden always attracts me. (Only in a story, don’t imagine anything there!) Though I especially loved Yukia, but I did think he was a bit foolish. How could he really believe that Beni would wait for him for 5 years, but then he was still in love with her after 5 years. The story is laced with a but of humor too, but I guess it’s kind of dark humor. Though it really reminded me of my situation.

I mean, I just turned 20 and that’s what I received from half of the people I know! Though unlike Beni, I do not remember falling in love with anyone at the age of 15. But well, I won’t say no to a similar guy as Yukia. Kidding, well, not really.

I hope you’ll find 3 minutes in your schedule to spare and read this great work by Chiba Kozue. Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews and promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

XOXO

Katie
