Book Review: Dauntless by Stacy Claflin (Transformed #10)

Summary (from Goodreads)

Title: Dauntless

Author: Stacy Claflin

Publication Date: 15 October 2015

Publisher: self-published

Goodreads – Amazon – Barnes & Noble

Summary:

Eylin always seems to get herself into trouble, but this time she's in deep. Missing. Kidnapped. Tortured.

Her friends and family have no idea where she is, and the only clue is the intolerable pain Ana is in. What Eylin feels, Ana does, too. And this time... it's worse than ever.

And to make it even more frustrating, those casting locator spells say they can't find her.

Will Eylin's friends and family be able to find her in time?

My Thoughts:

It’s been a long time since I have put Stacy Claflin’s book on my blog. So here I am, reviewing the 10th book in the Transformed series. Yup, we are on the 10th one and trust me it’s not ending for the time being, or I just hope it won’t end. I kind want it to never end, but at the same time I do want to say goodbye to these fantastic characters. I know I’m making absolutely no sense.

Do you remember where we got off? No? Here’s a small reminder: Blake came back from the dead, ruined Eylin’s and Darius’ wedding, but no worries, those two eloped and finally had one, but well, Eylin was dumb enough to resurrect her grandmother, so now everything is a total mess as Blake kidnapped her and wants her to marry him. Yup, our psycho has come from the dead with more psycho in him! And trust me you would never want to resurrect anyone after you read this book. So, what new is waiting for you in this book? Heh, you’ll be amazed to know whom Stacy will introduce us to this time. You need a hint? Okay, sea… Yup, that’s the only hint I’m giving. Think yourself or better grab your copy right now to know what the hell is happening!

There were several things that frustrated me and that was the reason I took of one leaf. First of all I really hated the direction those freaking witches took with Alre and Alexis. It was so out of place and annoying that I closed the book for several days. Only my nagging curiosity and love for Stacy’s writing compelled me to read on and I do not regret it! Another thing that frustrated me was the cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers but I just love how Stacy makes them. And trust me this cliffhanger will just leave you screaming: “what the hell did just happen???” I think my neighbours finally think that there’s a crazy inhabitant living on the first floor. Are you ready to unravel new secrets that Stacy’s world is going to bring? You sure should be. If you are new to the series go over my blog to find out all about it. Get acknowledged with interesting characters and the fantastic world!

Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

My Thoughts:

Hi everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Continuing with my obsession with Transformed Series, here comes the newly released 9th book. And now I can say that for next several months I will not be reviewing this series. There first should be something released. But let’s not talk about future and focus on this book:

Holy crap! (I can at least use this word right?) This ending will become a death of me. I knew Blake was up to no good, but seriously doing that??? But if I become my rational slef again I can only say that I can’t really complain about his behavior, or any others considering Eylin’s idiotic behavior. I knew she was a bit of an airhead, but actually bringing her grandma from the dead? And her mom’s mom on top of that! Was she a complete idiot or what? No rational being would bring a person from the dead, who only cared about herself and her eldest daughter. Do you get where I’m heading? I hope you do, and I hope you’re as pissed at her as I am. Another thing, well you’ll see a great surprise in the middle of the book. Well, it’s an awesome bonus if you are team DariLin, I came up with that right now, so don’t judged me harshly. There is no war in this book, but there is a lot of new beginnings. Ana’s line was drawn out quite well, but I hoped it would have been something more, not just her being a part-dragon from the very beginning. I still believe there should be something more in her blood. But as the saying goes. The hope dies last, or something along those lines. Sorry, if I’m making absolutely no sense. It happens all the time now.

Well, what more can I say… if you’re a fan of transformed series, you’ll love this one. It has a rather moderate pace, with more focusing on the characters and their feelings as well as giving us some expectations of what is going to happen soon. I hope you’ll grab your copy now to know how the things went after Blake appeared on Eylin’s wedding. Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below. Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

My Thoughts:

Hi, guys welcome back to Katie’s Corner! I have a surprise for you today! Yep, yep, it’s the 8th book in the Transformed series, and I’ll be reviewing the 9th book soon too, either it will go out on Tuesday or on Friday. Depends on my mood, but enough with my blabbing and let me get back to the book!

It was great! Though I do not have some minor concerns and those are because I’m a detail-oriented person who just loves villain masterminds! However, the book is great, we get to meet some new characters, some old ones will appear, and I apologize foe my last review statement as one character will still stand between Eylin and Darius. You might guess, who it is, but is appearance on the best page of the book will just make you first shocked and afterwards mad. In the need you’ll be curious as to what’s going to happen next! Saying from personal experience here!

We get to see a lot of Ana, and if you ask me, the girl is annoying, but she has her charm as well. Now for my detail oriented min first of all the idea of Ancients and Barbarians was awesome, but it was played not that greatly. Let me explain now! The motif behind barbarians attacks was only once mentioned and their race or everything was as if overlooked. They defeated the dragons with no problem, but we still did not get to know who they actually where. With Ancients it’s absolutely different story. If you ask me, they were defeated too easily maybe, there was no amazing mastermind there. Come on, they need a great villain there to lean them, but nope, we didn’t get him. Also the whole: because-you’re-abomination-that’s-why-you-better-be-dead motif was a bit too much of a cliché. I’m thinking that if Stacy expands the Ana’s illness line, it will be pretty awesome. I think there’s going to be something super intriguing in her blood.

Overall, the book is awesome. We get to see a lot of action, some mystery and an amazing cliffhanger at the need. I’m getting ready for a 9th book, buying some sour candies and lots of read orange juice. I hope you’ll enjoy this book to your heart’s contact and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! My Thoughts:

Hi everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Even though just this Tuesday I was saying that I will not be reviewing the next books in Transformed series, because I didn’t have them, here it is! I contacted the author and she agreed to give me a copy for an honest review. And hopefully next week or so I will have the 8th book read and reviewed too. But I already have a surprise planned for you in Tuesday. You just have to wait patiently. But now let me get back to the story.

There were some things that I would have loved to read more about, but nevertheless the book is great. It is very fast paced. I can even say too fast paced. If you ask me it ‘s amazing but at the same time it just intrigued me so much with the whole vampire hunters and the plague. And that’s what it was it just intrigued… we get to finally read the book in only Eylin’s POV, and it’s great. I really supported her running away to the carnival and having fun. Come on, she actually got some useful into, but then again she might have dies. Appearance of Ana as a new character is great and I really liked her, tough it’s still a mystery why Eylin was Rodrick in her, but let’s put this away for some time.

You can call me annoying for linking descriptions, ut I would have really enjoyed to red what Eylin looked like in a dragon form. I have a hard time imagining her as she is, and I have so little information about her in the dragon form. Another thing that shocked me was how fast Alre and Alexis and all the inner circle vampires came to terms of Eylin being a hybrid, and even with her liking a dragon. Too fast! I would have thought that at least Alre would have thrown a fit. But it’s going relativey smoothly.

Another thing was with Blake, his whole like in this book was too undeveloped. It was like getting rid of him, so nothing stands in between of Eylin and Darius. Call me a sucker for details, but I love when everything is explained or at least hinted. However, you can’t say I didn’t enjoy this book. I mean I finished it it 2 and half-hours. And I didn’t want it to finish, especially with the new dangers lurking nearby; the next books are going to be fantastic. And I really want some action between Eylin and Darius. Their wedding is going to be epic.

I hope you’ll grab your copy soon and will enjoy it as much as I did. Don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t accidentally miss you next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

My Thoughts:

Hi guys and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! As I promised I’m catching up on transformed series. Though catching up ends here for a time being. Why? Because I don’t have the next books yet. I need to get my hand on them very fast. But do not worry, I need to catch up on many series, and as currently I’m more into reading books again I’ll try to upload the reviews every Tuesday and Friday.

Now let me get back to the book. That was awesome! And I mean it en every aspect. I haven’t had such a god read in weeks, it did lack a bt, but the again that will surely be told in the mext books. I’m so waiting to get them. My original idea was correct, but not entirely. This book had two POV-s: Eylin’s and Alexis’. Though Eylin’s like was much better and more interesting. I already know that she was going to be attracted to Darius – the dragon, because it was written in the end of the 5th book, however, the stay Stacy developed their relationship and the creature she made Eylin turn into, WOW! I just couldn’t contain my excitement. And well my excitement is on its peak even now, thought it is getting weaker as my brain gets it that I will need to postpone my curiosity for at least a month before I can dive in the series again.

It may be me, but lately the author doesn’t really bother with character description. I mean when I was reading the first 3 books I had a perfect image of Alexis, Alre and Cliff, everyone, I was even not happy with original covers. As they did not match all that great with description. However, now you can kill me but I have absolutely no image of Eylin, Darius or Blake. We have such scarce information about them, that it actually drove me crazy. Guess this was the reason I took of half if the star. Otherwise the book is awesome! It’s a great introduction into what’s gong to happen next. How will Eylin and Darius put up with the mess they are in? What’s going to happen when Eylin’s secret gets out? That for you to find out! But before you jump to conclusions first you need to find out what’s the secret Eylin is keeping. Intrigued? You should be! I hope you’ll find some time to read this awesome sequel, I read it in a day. I mean it. I finally restored my reading speed. It was down by a half after I got engrossed in mangas, as there is not much text, so I did read fast, but I got used to less text on the page. Hope you give this series a chance if you haven’t read it yet. You can check the pervious reviews on my blog! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t forget to share you thoughts below! Don’t miss your possibly next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!
