My Thoughts

Review covers 1 chapter

Hello everyone. Welcome back to Katie’s Corner. This is already the 2nd week of my Satoshi Morie’s works marathon. So, welcome back to the 4th work. Today I have a really short one shot for you. It’s only 17 pages or so. In the beginning it was hell lot of confusing but it made sense in the end, so after I finished it I reread it one more time and my infamous: “Ahaaa…” was what came out.

Well, I first thought it was a first try for try for the white porcelain. But when I looked at the dates of publication it was that it was published after white porcelain. It has its own twists and the characters are something amazing. The pain, the sorrow was all too much visible in this short story. In the beginning I didn’t get the main character. It’s that guy who looks a lot like a girl. I couldn’t get why he wanted to stay as a kid. But then again, he loved that little girl too much and he just wished to grow up with her. I could get why he wanted to be away from her, but even though, it was a bit not normal how could a 17-18 year old boy be so obsessed with an 8 year old?

Now, that thing aside. The one shot is good. I liked it nevertheless of the confusion at the beginning. The sadness, which showed though the main character. His hated for himself, for his existence. It was something unimaginable. I would have licked to know more, to know how those two progressed in the future. The ending is too bland; there is no certainty. I guess, the author wanted us to think of an ending for this one shot.

Well, hope you will stay tuned for more and may get a bit of time to read this one shot. There are not many stops in this marathon left. Happy reading and don’t forget to share your thoughts with me!

XOXO

Katie
