Summary:

In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.

Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.

As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?

Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart

My Thoughts:

My expectations were not high, after reading Fallen by Lauren Kate, Cassandra Clare's TMI and TID series, Wendy Higgins Sweet Evil and other books about Nephilim,  I knew already about them, so I didn't think I would be that much into the book. But I still gave the book a try, not am so happy about it. Because, not it's one of my favourite books.

The books is about an angelblood - Clara Gardner. Every angelblood has a purpuse on this earth. She sees visons of a boy standing in the forest during fire, and she believes she has to save him. She moves to a new town to find the boy in her dreams and meets Christian who literally is the boy from her dream, and now she has to put all her visions together. But nothing is always as it seems, to fulfill her purpose she has to choose between her love and following the rules.

Clara Gardner, the main character is a really kind, shy, friendly, and stubborn girl or should i same a quarter angel? I loved her from the beginning of the book. She knew what she had to do, and she was really focused on her purpose, before the summer came, and she was left alone for her birthday, and she fell in love with the wrong person. She fell in love with Tucker Avery, the guy who was lent to her by his sister aka Clara's best friend. My favourite part of the book begins from Clara's birthday. I love how her and Tucker's friendship grows, how thay couldn't stand each other in the beginning. And how they fell in love. The barn scene when Tucker kisses Clara is one of the most fascinating ones. I couldn't help myself and was crying.

Tucker Avery first a super jerk but after the sweetest guy ever. He really loved her, because if not he wouldn't have understood everything that Clara had told him, and he wouldn't have made the choice of letting her go, which was the heartbreaking choice. But Tucker was Tucker and he knew that he was a distraction for her, and he knew thag you have to set free those you love most.

Jeffrey, Clara's brother, that little brat, why couldn't he tell Clara about his purpose? What was wrong with him, She also had to move and leave behind her friends, but no, he has to be a total brat about that. And if he had told her about his purpose nonw of their misunderstanding would have followed. They would have fulfilled their purposes. But because of him, Clara was between choices and she chose love  and Tucker, and blew her purpose. I can't say much about Christian, because i didn't like him that much. And I wanted to strangle Clara's mother so many times I lost count.

I loved the book, because it was a breathtaking love story. A story of choices, and a story which make you think about your purpose on earth, because we also have our purposes on earth, but unlike Clara we have to figure them out without any visions. We will also be at the choice of following our heart or the rules, and we have to make the right choices, because the choices we make define us. I began reading the book really sceptical, but I fell in love with characters at leats some of them:)) and that was the best. The book is a definately to read one, but maybe, you won't like it as much as I did, but I hope everyone likes a good love story. So just find some time in your daily shedule and read this book. :)) and of course tell me what you thought about it :))
