Title: Everbound
Author: Brodi Ashton
Publication Date: 22 January 2013
Publisher: Balzer + Bray
Summary:
Nikki Beckett could only watch as her boyfriend, Jack, sacrificed himself to save her, taking her place in the Tunnels of the Everneath for eternity — a debt that should’ve been hers. She’s living a borrowed life, and she doesn’t know what to do with the guilt. And every night Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused and wasting away.
Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy who wants to make her his queen — and the one person least likely to help. But his heart has been touched by everything about Nikki, and he agrees to assist her in the only way he can: by taking her to the Everneath himself.
Nikki and Cole descend into the Everneath, only to discover that their journey will be more difficult than they’d anticipated — and more deadly. But Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack — even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own.
In this enthralling sequel to Everneath, Brodi Ashton tests the bonds of destiny and explores the lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love.

Apparently Brodi Ashton’s books are the reason I had an enjoyable flight back to University. I read the first book while going home and the second when I was returning. I’m wondering when will I read the third one as well as the short story? But let’s forget that and that and focus on today’s book if you have yet to start reading this series I advice you to start right away, but before check the review for the first book Everneath on my blog. If you have already started the series, well you know what’s going on…

I apologize beforehand if I’m going to spoil some major things by the time I finish the review. *bows. But we should start. First of all, let’s remember where we were left off. Nikki our main character had to end up in the tunnels of Everneath aka underworld to become something like an eternal battery. Though she did have a choice; she could have accepted Cole – an everliving and become one herself and live with forever and maybe even become the next queen of the underworld. But no, she chose love over all of that ad her boyfriend – jack ended up taking her place in the tunnels. An of course as a true heroine she vowed that she would bring him back. Will she? That’s what the second book is about. However, I would like to focus on Cole this time.
In this book he doesn’t really act as a villain, thought you might argue about that if e take into consideration the ending. But let me be clear on one thing: I’m 110% team Cole and I’m totally shipping these two together. Why? Don’t ask me, I just do! He’s an awesome character that truly wisher for love and I hope he gets it in Nikki. He’s cunning, but as the saying goes all means are acceptable in love and war. He just chooses the ones that lead to difficulties.
I’m really pumped to see how Nikki is going to bring Everneath down and I truly hope she ends up with Cole. they have the pull and they are awesome together. Of they don’t I’m pretty sure I will have a mourning week maybe even a month… enjoy it to your fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!
XOXO
