Summary

Ryouma Muroto secretly has feelings for his childhood friend Mao Manaka, a 15-year-old girl who appears to be a refined beauty on the outside, but she's actually an impulsive girl who is very persistent once she has made up her mind to do something, which Ryouma likens to a bulldozer. This personality causes others her age to tend to stay away from her, and Ryouma enjoys the fact that he's basically the only person who can hang around her.

Ryouma's daily interactions with Mao change one day when she meets Hayato Honjou, a fledgling actor who has had trouble making a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Ryouma quickly notices a change in Mao's demeanor when she starts showing a lot of interest in Hayato's up-and-coming career. Mao soon tells Ryouma that she has feelings for Hayato, and she shows Ryouma her determination to get closer to Hayato by joining a talent agency and moving to Tokyo. When Ryouma is later scouted by a talent agent, he decides to chase after Mao in the hope that their paths will connect someday.

My Thoughts

Review covers 19 chapters

Have you been following Katie’s Corner for a long time? Don’t worry if you are new here, I love all my readers equally and am always happy when I get new ones. Does anyone recognise anything about today’s story? Yup, it’s the third time I’m reviewing Ayumi Komura’s works on my blog. You can check Liar Lily and Mixed Vegetables if you want, but that’s only if you have famous works. Plus today’s work is the newest, if finished in August 2015.

But let’s talk about todays work. It’s quite short, but you can guess the authors style from the very beginning but I only mean the drawing style. The story starts a bit more gloomily then necessary. I really thought that someone would die in the end. Don’t worry no such thing is going to happen. The story follows Ryoma a normal high school boy who’s in love with his childhood friend Mao, he doesn’t tell her his feelings because he takes it for granted that they’ll end up together at some point. But his plans are ruined when Mao falls in love with Hayato – a soon to be famous actor. And true to her character Mao follows Hayato to enter the world of showbiz, so will those find each other or will Ryoma get his wish and stay with Mao forever? That’s for you to find out! But trust me the journey will be full of adventure and Ayumi Komura's humour which never disappoints.

Now let’s talk a bit about the characters. I loved them a lot! I really liked Mao and her determination, and no matter how much you might hate Hayato in the beginning, once you hear his story you have nothing to say to those two being together. True to authors style everyone finds their happy ending and can’t argue with anything! Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book manga! Happy reading!

XOXO

Katie
