Summary:

Fire meets ice. Love meets hate.

Seventeen-year-old Isis Blake hasn’t fallen in love in three years, nine weeks, and five days, and after what happened last time, she intends to keep it that way. Since then she’s lost eighty-five pounds, gotten four streaks of purple in her hair, and moved to the Buttcrack-of-Nowhere Ohio to help her mom escape a bad relationship.

All the girls in her new school want one thing – Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. Hot as an Armani ad, smart enough to get into Yale, and colder than the Arctic, Jack Hunter’s never gone out with anyone. Sure, people have seen him downtown with beautiful women, but he’s never given high school girls the time of day. Until Isis punches him in the face.

Jack’s met his match. Suddenly everything is a game.

The goal: Make the other beg for mercy.

The game board: East Summit High.

The reward: Something neither of them expected.

My Thoughts:

Okay, It’s been a while since I read a totally 1000% non-supernatural book and liked it very much. And I am definitely hoping to get a hold of the second book in the series. While the author may like writing about damaged people, I like reading about them. Somehow I feel all of us are damaged and seeing that even in characters in books resemble that, not so perfect people are definitely a good thing for our thoughts.

It’s been 3 years 9 weeks and 5 days wince Isis Blake has fallen in love. She is damaged; she was told by her first love that she is ugly. 3 years passed since then, 3 years to build a solid wall to guard her heart. 3 years to lose weight and become someone else. But what if it is not enough? And no matter what you do not to feel love, it still manages to find cracks in our walls and seep in our hearts? But what if the person we fall in love is our sworn enemy? Well, then thing get a little interesting and definitely intense. Meet Isis Blake and Jack Hunter, Fire and Ice. Two people who guard their hearts at all cost. Their current situation: at war with each other. Battlefield – East Summit High. Who will win? Who will be left heartbroken and who will be the one to cherish the victory? Interested already, go grab your own copy now, to get the place in the first row of this battle of wits.

The characters are very well written and the dialogues seem really real, like the author was walking around school grounds with a recorder. Okay, while I really hate when the cliffhanger is some of the main characters having amnesia, truth to be told, it suits this book really well. And I mean now that somebody knows that he/she is in love, and the other doesn’t even remember the first one, it will be amazing to see their get together. I myself am dying to read it. Battlefield 2.0 is now open who will win?

I hope I spiked your interest to this book. It has amazing intense moments and it has breathtaking dialogues and to die for characters. All the character are one way or other damaged and that what makes them an interesting read and well there is a mystery still to unfold and choices to make. Happy Reading! And don’t forget to share your thoughts!!!

xoxo
