My Thoughts:

Laugh at me all you want but while I was reading this book I had this feeling of déjà vu. I don’t why, and well I know that book was published in November 2013, but somehow I had this weird feeling I have read this kind of story somewhere. But every time I was near to unravel that mystery it slipped. So I just enjoyed the book with all its ins and outs. I can only say one thing: amazing, heartbreaking and breathtaking. The characters are amazingly written, and I never doubted any of them. All of their feelings, all of their fears, mainly everything a person can feel and think is out there. And I just want to say a huge thank you to Erica Kiefer for bringing forward characters like Allie, Damien, Nick, Aaron and others.

Have you ever blamed yourself for an accident? If yes, you will understand Allie and Damien fully, if not, well you will get to see how it is. How it is: to feel guilty over your cousin’s or your whole family’s deaths. How it is that everyone either accuses you straightly or behind your back, or wants to help you trying to make you live it all over again. It’s a story of life, of choices which we make and consequences which follow afterwards. It is a story which can happen to anyone. But it is up to you whose side to be on now!

The story follows Allie to her summer before college. While it should have been the best summer, it is taunted by the memory of her 9 years old cousin’s death, and on top of that she is to spend it at the same place where it all happened with her father and his new family. Allie just wants to be left alone, but everyone is trying to make her open up and talk about IT. Then she meets Damien. The only person she feels safe with to fully open up to. But Damien has his own past. Will he share the darkest secret of his past which has scarred not only his body but his very soul? How will Allie respond to it? Will she accept him for who he is or will she abandon him as everybody else? Everything depends on you. You can either: grab your copy now and get the answers or you can just keep guessing and never know this amazing piece of writing. I suggest grabbing your own copy, and while you are at it don’t forget to grab Rumors a prequel to Lingering Echoes. It is free and will give you an amazing insight into Allie’s thoughts and why she is like she is in Lingering Echoes.

I can just say that I loved the book and it went deep into my heat, so if you consider reading it, Happy Reading. I know you will enjoy it and don’t forget to share your thought afterwards!

XOXO

Katie
