For Della Tsang, Shadow Falls isn't just a camp: it's home. As a vampire who's never fit in with her human family, it's the one place she can truly be herself. But when a mysterious new guy arrives at camp, Della’s whole world is thrown into turmoil. Chase is a vampire with secrets, who knows more than he’s telling. But the more time she spends with him, the more she begins to trust this attractive stranger—and feel drawn to him. But romance is the last thing she wants—as she keeps telling Steve, the hunky shapeshifter who won’t stop trying to win her heart. And if Della isn't careful, he just might succeed. When a new case puts everyone she cares about in danger, Della’s determined to do everything she can to save them . . . even if it means teaming up with Steve and Chase, who leave her more confused than ever. With their lives on the line, will Della and her friends survive—with their hearts intact?

My Thoughts:

Hi everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Today I’m finally moving on to a new series by C. C. Hunter. If you have read my Sunday mini review book review edition, you should know that I spoiled a lot of things for me by first reading Spellbinder. It was not that I spoiled everything, but my feeling that I was looking for what should have come, kept nagging at me! I again advise you, do not read Spellbinder as part of Shadow Falls series; it’s a definite Shadow Falls After Dark story. I’m more with the idea after I read Reborn. But let me end the nagging and get back to the book.

It was awesome. I always liked Della in previous books, and I finally got to see her fully from different sides. She was not your favourite? How come? You are not making a mistake, right? Della Tsang – the sassy, stubborn, sarcastic and the always pissed off vampire. Ah, so you remember now! And here I thought we weren’t on the same page. Sorry for ever doubting you. Well, if you wanted to know her better here’s your chance, because Reborn is all about Della and her some crazy problems. Okay, not all about Della, we get to see our other favouirte characters – Kylie, not a, Miranda, Burnett, Holiday, even Derek. Sorry he’s not on my favourite list. But we get to see a lot of Burnett, and as always he’s the best with his over protectiveness and “Chauvinistic pigginess”. Sorry, I just wanted to recite this, this was just all too fun her coming first from holiday and then Della.

Is the book full of action? Of course, don’t forget its Della’s story and she’s always out there to kick some one’s ass. And she seriously starts doing it from the very first pages. Is there love in the air? When is it not? Okay, it’s never near me, but we are talking about Della now, not me. If Kylie’s problems were the biggest ones there, comparing to Della’s it’s just some pretty stuff. Della, being Della the boy problems take another turn absolutely, and with her finally agreeing to date one guy and being bonded to another one? The second book has to be lots of fun! Literally and figuratively speaking!

If you were a fan of Della in the previous book, this one is right for you. Dive into new mysteries and secrets that the supernaturals have to offer you. You won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t! Enjoy the first book in the trilogy to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos! Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

XOXO

Katie
